Christian Helmer will make his debut as Escamillo at the Opera de Rouen. In recent years, he has sung the role of Masetto (Don Giovanni) in Tourcoing and of the Notary in Gianni Schicchi at the Opera National de Paris. He will be Calchas (Iphigenia in Aulis) this summer in Amsterdam, and will sing Le Bret in Cyrano de Bergerac in Madrid at the end of the season alongside Placido Domingo and Sondra Radvanovsky.
