The soprano Ekaterina Godovanets much praised for her portrayal of Tatiana in E. Onegin with the Russian State Orchestra in June 2009 at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and who sung many works of the German repertoire, is also at ease in the Italian repertoire. She sung Ottavia (Incoronazione di Poppea) under the baton of Emmanuelle Haim, and gave a recital of operatic arias with the Orchestra Sinfonica of the State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg conducted by Alexander Tchernouchenko at the the Zurich Philharmonie and at the Berlin Philharmonie during the Musical Olympus Festival. She recorded the album "La Nuit" with J. Cohen.
